OLAN QUATTRO

A third-generation artist, Olan Quattro grew up surrounded by art in the Central Coast of California and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Both places, which abound in natural beauty, gave her a love of nature that is deeply instilled in her work. Quattro studied art in France, Mexico and the United States. Quattro is represented by Carrie Haddad Gallery in Hudson, NY.
Artist Statement
As a mixed media artist, I am interested in memory, place and mythological folklore. My work layers old family letters, photographs and book pages underneath my images, creating an underpainting of memory and fragmentation. Collage is my way of telling stories and making sense of this strange and beautiful world.
