Tiff Porter is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and creative director whose work spans jewelry, adornment, costume, styling, set design, interiors, floral installations, and large-scale environments. Originally from Louisville, Tiff’s creative practice was fine-tuned in Brooklyn, where she lived and worked for 16 years.

Her early career grew out of fashion, jewelry, and styling, including founding the influential Brooklyn & Manhattan boutique Old Hollywood, before expanding into set, spatial, and experiential design. Over the past two decades, her work has moved fluidly between intimate handmade objects and immersive environments, with projects for clients and institutions including Airbnb, HBO, the Met Gala, Sundance Film Festival, and Afropunk.

Tiff relocated to Hudson, New York in 2024, where she maintains her studio and continues a multidisciplinary practice rooted in studying, collecting, making, and transforming objects and materials without allegiance to a single medium or scale.

Artist Statement

My work moves between art, design, fashion, and theater, taking form as jewelry, adornment, costume, objects, installations, interiors, sets, and large-scale environments. Rather than working within a single medium, I am interested in transformation—how material, scale, context, and arrangement can turn something familiar into something unexpected.

I collect, alter, fabricate, layer, and re-contextualize, drawing equally from the precious and the discarded, glamour and absurdity, restraint and excess. Whether I am making something to be worn on the body or building a world that can be physically entered, the impulse is the same: to create an experience that is felt before it is explained.

I want the work to transport—to make the ordinary extraordinary, even if only for a moment.
