Evan Collier is an artist, educator, designer, and fabricator whose work spans sculpture, public art, immersive environments, and experiential design. Beginning his career as a commercial artist, he spent more than two decades leading the design and fabrication of award-winning installations, stages, sculptures, and interactive environments for festivals, cultural institutions, brands, and public spaces. His multidisciplinary practice blends art, engineering, storytelling, and hands-on craftsmanship, creating work that fosters participation, curiosity, and connection.

Today, Collier serves as the Executive Director of Makership, a 21,000-square-foot makerspace in Hudson, New York. Through his leadership, he advances initiatives in technical education, sustainable fabrication, public art, and community-based production. His work is rooted in the belief that creative practice, shared infrastructure, and collaborative making can strengthen communities, expand access to opportunity, and help address the social and environmental challenges of our time.

MAKERSHIP addresses global climate, social & environmental challenges through sea- and land-based hands-on technical education, sustainable fabrication, public art, and mission-aligned production that supports community resilience and access to shared infrastructure and resources.
